Juan Lagares seeing doctors today about his elbow
Juan Lagares has been battling elbow problems for more than a year, and it has unquestionably affected his ability to throw accurately and with any velocity from center field.
During the year, Terry Collins hinted the solution for Lagares is to undergo Tommy John Surgery, which of course would sideline him for most of a full year.
But Lagares played through those problems in 2015 without having surgery. But his ability to throw was exposed in the World Series none the less.
On Wednesday, Terry Collins said Lagares was having his elbow examined. But Collins said he doesn’t foresee surgery being considered for Lagares, and instead will be prescribed rest and treatment on his elbow.
Collins said there are no other injury issues heading into the off-season.
