Juan Uribe unlikely to be active in the World Series
Last weekend, there was some renewed hope Juan Uribe might be active for the World Series after he participated in baseball activities at Citi Field.
But that hope appears to now be fading.
On Thursday, Marc Carig of Newsday said it was unlikely Uribe would be ready for the World Series, and would likely be left off the roster for the Fall Classic.
Uribe suffered a chest contusion diving to his left at second base in a game against the Yankees in mid-September. He re-injured himself five days later on a check swing against the Reds, and has not played since.
