Dodgers to start Clayton Kershaw on three-days rest in Game 4

Clayton Kershaw

BaronTerry Collins said on Monday his preference was to face LHP Alex Wood in game four as opposed to LHP Clayton Kershaw.

Collins will not be getting his wish, however.

The Dodgers announced Kershaw will start on three-days rest in on Tuesday night at Citi Field, regardless of the outcome of game three on Monday.

Kershaw last started on short rest during the 2014 NLDS, during which he allowed three runs in seven innings in a loss in game four of that series.

He allowed three runs in 6 2/3 innings on Friday night, falling to 1-6 in his career in the postseason.

Regardless of his history it’s another no brainer.
