The Mets 2015 National League Division Series roster
The Mets announced on Friday afternoon their 2015 National League Division Series roster.
As expected, the Mets are carrying 14 position players and 11 pitchers. The club was toying with the idea of carrying only ten pitchers for the five-game series, but Sandy Alderson recently said history suggested teams were not successful utilizing that configuration.
The taxi squad – currently working out in Port St. Lucie – will be as follows:
- Sean Gilmartin
- Eric Young Jr.
- Logan Verrett
- Bobby Parnell
- Anthony Recker
- Carlos Torres
Technically, anyone in the organization can serve as an injury replacement to a player in the Division Series. The injured player must be removed from the roster in order for another player to be eligible.
If a player is removed from the roster due to injury, he is ineligible for the League Championship Series but can return for the World Series.
