Watch: Dominic Smith discusses his tremendous 2015 season with Single-A St. Lucie

The Mets drafted Dominic Smith with their first selection in the 2013 first-year player draft.

Smith, 20, was named the Florida State League Player of the Year while with Single-A St. Lucie in 2015 after hitting .305/.354/.417 with six home runs and 79 RBI in 118 games. He missed time at the end of the season with a minor shoulder injury.

He will represent the Mets in the Arizona Fall League in 2015.
