Juan Uribe doubtful, Carlos Torres questionable for Tuesday
Monday night, Terry Collins said an MRI taken on Juan Uribe’s chest/collar bone came back negative, revealing nothing more than a contusion.
But he wasn’t certain Uribe would be available on Tuesday, as he was still experiencing significant soreness following a diving play in Sunday’s game against the Yankees, after which he was removed and taken for x-rays.
On Tuesday afternoon, Collins said Uribe was still sore, and so it was doubtful he would be available for Tuesday’s game against the Braves.
Collins also said Carlos Torres – who suffered a strained calf on September 7 – was not available on Monday night following his outing on Sunday against the Yankees, in which he allowed three hits and two walks in only 2/3 of an inning.
Collins said Torres’ availability remained in question for Tuesday night’s game against the Braves.
