Terry Collins hopes Juan Uribe is available Tuesday
Juan Uribe exited Sunday’s game against the Yankees with what was described as an injured collar bone.
Terry Collins said after Sunday’s game x-rays were negative, but he was to undergo an MRI on Monday to ensure no other damage existed.
Collins said after Monday’s win the MRI was indeed negative, although Uribe had continued discomfort a day after sustaining the injury.
Collins was hopeful Uribe would be available for Tuesday’s game against the Braves, but wasn’t positive that would be the case.
Uribe is hitting .214/.298/.429 in 42 games since joining the Mets in late July.
