Jacob deGrom, Matt Harvey to pitch against the Reds, and one additional time each

Terry Collins offered a little clarity for the Mets pitching plans in their series against the Reds this weekend.

Both Matt Harvey and Jacob deGrom will pitch in the series in Cincinnati this weekend, Collins said on Monday afternoon.

Presumably, both Harvey and deGrom will be slated to pitch against the Nationals during the final weekend of the season, but Collins did not confirm that to be the case.

But Collins did not announce how they will lineup, but did say each of them will pitch two more times down the stretch of the regular season.

DeGrom was pushed back from his originally scheduled start on Tuesday against the Braves – Logan Verrett will pitch instead.

In addition, the Mets announced Bartolo Colon will pitch Wednesday’s series finale against Atlanta.
