Lucas Duda idle, but still on course to be activated on September 6
Lucas Duda has been sidelined for the better part of three weeks with a minor herniation of a disc in his thoracic spine, and he was finally placed on the disabled list last weekend when the club was in Colorado.
On Friday, Terry Collins said Duda has remained mostly idle, although he is standing in the batting cage tracking pitches.
Collins said Duda is still on track to return from the disabled list when eligible on September 6.
Duda visited with Dr. Robert Watkins in Los Angeles last week, who concurred with the original opinion Duda should be able to return on schedule.
