Lucas Duda should only miss minimal time on the disabled list
After Sunday’s game in Denver, Lucas Duda flew to Los Angeles, and today, met with renowned back specialist Dr. Robert Watkins to discuss his on-going lumbar strain.
He received some encouraging news.
Sandy Alderson said on Tuesday in Philadelphia the prognosis was good on Duda’s back and it was nothing more than a small thoracic disc herniation.
As such, Alderson said he expects Duda to be activated from the disabled list when eligible on September 6.
Duda missed seven games over the last two weeks after being diagnosed with a lumbar strain in his back. He was back in the lineup for the club’s two-game series in Baltimore last week, but had to leave midway through the first game of their series in Denver over the week.
He was placed on the disabled list on Saturday.
