Travis d’Arnaud in a full brace, unknown when it will be removed

BaronTravis d’Arnaud was seen in the clubhouse on Sunday with a full arm brace and an ace bandage wrapped around his left elbow.

On Tuesday, Terry Collins said d’Arnaud is required to wear the brace nearly 24 hours a day to keep the elbow still and promote healing of his strained elbow ligament.

Collins is not sure when doctors will clear him to remove the brace and take the next step in his recovery, although he’s hopeful that happens soon.

D’Arnaud has been on the disabled list since June 23, retroactive to June 21 after he strained his elbow in a collision with AJ Pierzysnki in Atlanta. He is eligible to come off the disabled list on Sunday in Los Angeles, but that seems unlikely at this time.

  1. God help this kid get healthy and….STAY that way!
Not just for the Mets, he’s too young to be injured all the time- no fun.
And, BYW, how about a ONE ON ONE INTERVIEW with David Wright?
If anyone can get access to him, Michael, JUST YOU CAN!
