Bartolo Colon will start against the Orioles tonight as the Mets look to get back on track. Colon may be coming off of his first loss of the season, but he’s been in complete control in 2015.

  • Prior to his last start, Bartolo Colon had won five consecutive starts, dating back to the Mets season finale on September 28, 2014. Colon went 5-0 with a 3.09 ERA during that stretch.
  • Colon leads the majors with a 0.276 BB/9 rate. Colon hasn’t allowed a walk in each of his last four starts, and only one free pass in 32.2 innings this entire season.
  • Colon has thrown 91 pitches or fewer in each of his last seven starts dating back to September 23, 2014. In each of his last three starts, Colon has thrown exactly 91 pitches.
  • In 17 career home starts with the Mets, Colon is 9-8 with a 3.62 ERA at Citi Field while striking out 96 batters and walking just 12.
  • Colon has won four straight home games dating back to September 11, 2014.
  • Colon won each of his first four starts of the year for the first time in his career, and became the 9th Mets pitcher to start out 4-0 in his first four starts.
