It was not a pretty outing for rehabbing Mets pitcher Bobby Parnell on Tuesday.

Michael BaronThis afternoon at Tradition Field, Parnell allowed a run on two hits with two walks.

It was his third rehab outing. His fastball velocity was in the low 90s during his outing, which is progress as he continues to build arm strength and return to the Major Leagues.

He underwent Tommy John Surgery last April and has not pitched since Opening Day, 2013. He said during Spring Training he could return by mid-April, but its more realistic he will return sometime in May.
