Vic Black tosses a scoreless inning for the Binghamton Mets

Vic Black 1 slice

Michael BaronVic Black’s rehabilitation assignment transitioned to Double-A Binghamton on Saturday afternoon, and he turned in a productive outing as he inches closer to returning to the Mets.

At NYSEG Stadium in Binghamton today, Black pitched a scoreless eighth inning, allowing only one hit in the seventh inning of the B-Mets game against Harrisburg.

According to Chris Soto on Twitter, Black was mostly throwing in the upper 80s and low 90s during his inning of work.

It was his third rehab appearance – he made two with Single-A St. Lucie earlier this week.

Black has been on the disabled list with shoulder soreness/weakness since Opening Day, and was eligible to return last Sunday in Atlanta.
