Jon Niese will NOT pitch against the Nationals on Thursday night
Due to the possibility of bad weather tonight in central Florida, the Mets not be sending Jon Niese to face the Nationals in Viera tonight, according to the team’s beat reporters. Instead, Niese will face Bartolo Colon in a minor league intrasquad game in Port St. Lucie this morning. Matt Bowman will start in Niese’s place tonight.
