2015 Postseason shares announced – Mets issue 44 full shares worth $300k each

Mets National League Champions 2015Major League Baseball announced their 2015 Postseason shares on Monday.

The 2015 National League Champion New York Mets players’ pool was worth $16,771,715.82, and the Mets issued 44 full player shares worth $300,757.78 each. They also issued 11.05 partial shares and 25 cash awards of undisclosed amounts.

The average share value for the Mets was a record high for a World Series runner-up, eclipsing $291,667.68 for the 2006 American League Champion Detroit Tigers.  Last year’s share amounts were an all-time record $388,605.94 for the 2014 World Champion San Francisco Giants and $230,699.73 for the 2014 American League Champion Royals.

The 2015 World Champion Royals had a players’ pool of $25,157,573.73, and they issued 58 full shares worth $370,069.03 each, plus 8.37 partial shares and 50 cash awards of undisclosed amounts.
