
Major League Baseball announced several changes to the 2016 Opening Day schedule.
The Mets and Royals – originally scheduled to open their seasons at Kauffman Stadium on April 4 – will now play in a prime time game on Sunday, April 3 at 8:35 pm ET. That game will be aired on ESPN.
The Mets will conclude their series with the Royals on Tuesday, April 6. They will be off April 4, April 7 and April 8 before playing their home opener on Friday, April 9 against the Phillies at 1:10 pm.
