After a two day hiatus, David Wright resumed his rehab assignment with Single-A St. Lucie on Tuesday night at Tradition Field.
Wright went 0-for-1 with three walks and a strikeout in four plate appearances on Tuesday, and he played all nine innings at third base.
Wright did commit a throwing error at third base, his third error in four rehab games. His error led to three unearned runs as part of a four run third inning.
The Mets are now projecting Wright could return against the Phillies next week at Citizens Bank Park, although that’s not being guaranteed.
He has been on the disabled list since April 15.

They shouldn’t be allowed to pitch around them. How does that help?

Anyone concerned that there is absolutely no power in David Wright’s rehab stat lines?
