Three Mets made rehab appearances for Single-A St. Lucie in their game against the Jupiter Hammerheads at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter on Saturday night:

  • David Wright went 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout, and committed a error in seven innings at third base. He has been on the disabled list since April 15 with symptoms related to spinal stenosis.
  • Kirk Nieuwenhuis also went 0-for-4 with a walk, strikeout and a run scored, and played right field for St. Lucie. Nieuwenhuis has been on the disabled list since August 2 with a pinched nerve in his back.
  • Steven Matz made his first rehab appearances since tearing his lat muscle in early July, and allowed a run on three hits with two strikeouts in one inning. He started for Single-A St. Lucie.

  1. Solid mid to late season additions to the roster.
Hoping for anything out of DW. depth is depth.
Matz should give us a few quality starts and stretch the BP for the push.
