Step one is complete for David Wright.
Wright served as the designated hitter for the St. Lucie Mets at Tradition Field, and went 1-for-3 with a single, walk and a run scored in the Mets 8-4 loss to the Fort Myers Miracle on Monday night.
The next step for Wright will be to play third base on Tuesday for Single-A St. Lucie behind Rafael Montero, who is expected to start for the Mets at Tradition Field.
Wright has been on the disabled list since April 15.
