

With Travis d’Arnaud being activated ahead of Friday’s game against the Nationals, the Mets have decided to keep Kevin Plawecki on the active roster.
As such, the club said they will be optioning Anthony Recker to Las Vegas to make room for d’Arnaud on the roster.
Before Thursday’s game, Terry Collins said he believed it was important for Plawecki to play as much as he can, hinting it was possible he could be the one optioned for d’Arnaud.
However, he did say d’Arnaud won’t initially catch everyday as he continues to build his stamina back.
D’Arnaud has been on the disabled list since June 20.
