Terry Collins wrote a nice condolence letter to widowed Mets fan

Terry Collins wrote this letter to Kate, the wife of a Mets fan who passed away nine months ago. It was posted to Reddit on Tuesday.

“My dad and I watched the Mets together for my whole life. He died 9 months ago. Somehow, the team found out, and Terry Collins sent this to my mother,” Reddit user animalchief posted along with the letter.

  1. What a sweet man, Terry. And, another Met fan has gone to the Gil Hodges Sky Box-good seats, those. Rest in Peace. Let’s Go Mets. Too many faithful departed. Yesterday would have been my Dads 96th birthday- he’s the reason I am a Met fan.
