Another Mets prospect is getting closer to the big leagues, as the Mets announced they’ve promoted OF Brandon Nimmo from Double-A Binghamton to Triple-A Las Vegas.
Nimmo, 22, was the club’s first selection in the 2011 first-year player draft, the first under GM Sandy Alderson’s watch.
He dealt with a sprained knee earlier in 2015 but has put together a good season albeit with minimal production in the Easter League with the B-Mets, hitting .279/.354/.368 with two home runs and 16 RBI in 308 plate appearances over 68 games.
Nimmo is a .268/.381/.389 hitter with 22 home runs and 153 RBI in five seasons in the Mets organization.
Nimmo is the Mets second best prospect, according to MLB.com. He needs to be added to the 40-man roster this winter in order to avoid Rule 5 draft eligibility in December.

This is like being on the voice for Nimmo. Traded by Thursday if he shows some offense at this level and Detroit makes a decision on direction (Cespedes) or I would take a huge flier on Wil Meyers. How often are players traded with incoming team?
We can cover Wil until healthy

No easy challenge but not impossible at the sme time.
Bobble head manufacture then became astounding which then gave way to tthe creation of nodders in different
categories. If you know anything about “urban survival” then you know it iis not about gun toting, camouflage wearing end-of-the-world types.
