Jerry Blevins has not pitched since breaking his arm on a comebacks during an appearance against the Marlins on April 19.
Blevins had his splint removed between 6-8 weeks ago and he went to port St. Lucie at the time to begin baseball activities. But the bone had not healed to a satisfactory point the left-gander could begin a throwing program.
But Blevins is being reexamined in the coming days, and the club is hopeful their left-handed specialist in the bullpen can start a throwing program and progress towards returning.
Blevins has been on the disabled list since April 20.
