The Mets may be closing in on getting one of their injured players back into their lineup.

Travis d’Arnaud is scheduled to take live batting practice on Monday at the team’s minor league complex in Port St. Lucie, Florida, according to Kristie Ackert of the Daily News.

If all goes well, d’Arnaud will begin a rehab assignment this week.

There’s still no timetable for d’Arnaud to return, although if he begins a rehab assignment later this week, he may require 20-25 at-bats before returning, putting him on-track to be activated early next week.

d’Arnaud has been on the disabled list since June 20 with a hyper-extended elbow.

  1. Can they play him at 1st as ever since Kevin got healthy he’s become the 2nd best hitter on the team. Duda needs to be sent down right now to get his head straight.
