On Friday, the Mets announced the rest of their starting rotation which will take them through their series against the Nationals.
In their series against the Cardinals, Noah Syndergaard will start for the Mets on Friday, followed by Bartolo Colon on Saturday and Jon Niese on Sunday.
Then on Monday, Matt Harvey will start against the Nationals, Jacob deGrom will start on Tuesday, followed by Syndergaard on Wednesday.
There’s no question the club aligned their rotation to have these pitchers start against Washington.
The Mets haven’t said if they will use a spot starter next weekend against the Dodgers, but they are off Monday, July 27 which could postpone the need use somebody in that role.
