On Sunday in Cincinnati, Major League Baseball hosted it’s annual Futures Game, featuring the world’s best prospects in the minor leagues in a one-game All-Star exhibition at Great American Ballpark.
Among the attendees were Mets top prospects Michael Conforto and Brandon Nimmo, and both of them helped lead a 13-hit attack in Team USA’s 10-1 win over Team World.
Conforto started the game for Team USA in left field and went 2-for-2 with a run scored. He also recorded an outfield assist.
Nimmo replaced Bradley Zimmer in centerfield and went 1-for-2 with an RBI single and a run scored.
