Michael Conforto, Brandon Nimmo help lead Team USA to victory in Futures Game

On Sunday in Cincinnati, Major League Baseball hosted it’s annual Futures Game, featuring the world’s best prospects in the minor leagues in a one-game All-Star exhibition at Great American Ballpark.

2015 All-Star Futures GameAmong the attendees were Mets top prospects Michael Conforto and Brandon Nimmo, and both of them helped lead a 13-hit attack in Team USA’s 10-1 win over Team World.

Conforto started the game for Team USA in left field and went 2-for-2 with a run scored. He also recorded an outfield assist.

Nimmo replaced Bradley Zimmer in centerfield and went 1-for-2 with an RBI single and a run scored.
