Jerry Blevins sustained a broken left wrist on April 19 after taking a comebacker against the Marlins.

In early June, Blevins had his splint removed and he left for psl to begin baseball activities.

But as the All-Star Game approaches, Blevins has not yet begun throwing.

Sandy Alderson said on Friday Blevins was examined by team doctors in New York on Wednesday, and those doctors wanted a second opinion. Blevins then received another opinion by doctors in Boston on Thursday, who concluded the bone had not healed to a satisfactory point as of yet.

Doctors are not unhappy with the rate of the healing – he will be reevaluated in three weeks.

Blevins cannot start a throwing program until the bone has healed and doctors clear him to throw.

Blevins remains on the 15-day disabled list with a broken wrist.
