

Dominic Smith, the Mets first selection in the 2013 first-year player draft, has been named Florida State League player of the month for June.
Smith, 20, hit .352 in 26 games last month, leading the league in hits (38) and total bases (51). He was second in the FSL with 20 RBI and his 15 runs scored were tied for the fifth in the league.
Smith currently leads the Florida State League with 25 doubles. He’s second in RBI with 49 and tied for the seventh with a .295 batting average.
