The Mets lost yet another regular player to an injury on Tuesday night.
Darrell Ceciliani came out to hit for Michael Cuddyer in the on-deck circle in the bottom of the sixth inning. Ceciliani then replaced Cuddyer in left field in the top of the seventh.
Cuddyer left the game with a sore left knee – he will undergo an MRI on Wednesday.
After the game, Cuddyer said he was, “definitely concerned” about the condition of his knee, but can’t speculate until the results of his forthcoming MRI are in.
Cuddyer missed a few games about two weeks ago, although Terry Collins said the left fielder was just getting extra rest.
It’s not clear if that extra rest is related to this knee injury.

I don’t want to see anyone injured but it time to bring up conforto and nimmo, to replace cuddyer and lagaras. Lagaras needs to heal.

Agree 100% on Conforto if Cuddyer goes to DL. What is there to lose??
