For the third time in the last week, the Mets will be without their closer on Saturday.

Jeurys Familia strained his left groin muscle in the eighth inning during Friday night’s loss to the Braves, and while he said he’s feeling better, he is unavailable at least through Saturday night’s game.

There is no indication Familia will be placed on the disabled list so far, which can be considered news. Terry Collins said the strain is minor although Familia could be out the remainder of the weekend.

No matter what, Terry Collins will once again not only be short in the bullpen, but will have to somehow piece together the eighth and ninth innings once again if the club is leading.
