

Brandon Nimmo sprained his ACL i the middle of May, and spent the last month rehabbing his knee at the team’s minor league complex in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
He had been on a rehab assignment with Single-A St. Lucie over the last few days, but on Thursday, the Mets announced he had been transferred from Single-A St. Lucie back to Double-A Binghamton and will be active for Thursday’s game against the Portland Sea Dogs in Portland, Maine.
Nimmo, the Mets first selection (13th overall) in the 2011 first-year player draft, is hitting .297/.368/.420 in 155 plate appearance for the Double-A Binghamton Mets this season.
