Sandy Alderson offered the following injury updates on Monday:
- Vic Black was unavailable to be called up to the club, as he is currently dealing with a strained right groin muscle.
- Erik Goeddel – who was placed on the disabled list on Friday – is heading to the team’s minor league complex in Port St. Lucie to rehab his ailing right elbow. Alderson said the MRI on his elbow is inconclusive, but Goeddel will attempt to work his way back anyway. The club hopes to know more about his elbow in 7-10 days.
