On Friday, Jeurys Familia and his fiancée welcomed Jeurys Familia Jr. into the world.
He was born with one out in the ninth inning on Friday.
Familia will remain officially active, but is likely unavailable on Saturday afternoon. Terry Collins said he will mix and match in the ninth inning should a save situation arise.
Familia has thrown 10 1/3 scoreless innings in his last eight games and has allowed two earned runs in his last 25 innings.
