The timetable for David Wright’s return is no clearer today than it has been at any point since he was diagnosed with spinal stenosis.

Sandy Alderson said on Thursday Wright will remain at Dr. Robert Watkins’ clinic in Los Angeles for several more weeks to undergo further treatment on his back.

Alderson said there is still no definite timetable for Wright to return, if at all.

Wright has been on the disabled list since April 15 after straining his hamstring. He was later diagnosed with spinal stenosis and has not played since injuring his hamstring.

  1. Really, did Alderson say “…if at all”.? If so, they are slowly conditioning us for the coup de gras…he is lost. My hope is that David Wright can some day, at least, GOLF again, his other love and be involved in baseball on some level: coach, manager, in the booth, On Air! He was such a great kid, turned out to be an upstanding man.
Godspeed, DW–we feel like we are JUST as sad as you are , if you never got to play the game we all love. The ‘MIRACLE METS’ , though are part of our lexicon, so maybe some day….!
