Daniel Murphy’s stay on the disabled list might be short-lived, which is good news for the club.
Sandy Alderson said at Citi Field on Thursday Murphy will play in an extended spring training game tomorrow at the team’s minor league complex in Port St. Lucie.
Murphy will not begin running tomorrow, but Alderson said he expects Murphy to return when eligible to return from the disabled list on June 20.
Murphy has been on the disabled list since June 5.
