Dilson Herrera will rejoin the Mets in a couple of days

Dilson Herrera  has hit in all five of his rehab games between Single-A St. Lucie and Triple-A Las Vegas, including two multiple hit games and three doubles along the way.

But curiously, Herrera was not brought to New York last night along with Travis d’Arnaud.

There is nothing wrong with Herrera, Terry Collins said on Wednesday. He should be rejoining the club in the next couple of days, although Collins didn’t provide a specific timetable for Herrera to return.

He has 17 at-bats in his five rehab games, and last week Collins said he wanted d’Arnaud to get 20-25 at-bats before coming back to the Mets. Las Vegas is off today, so assuming the club wants Herrera to get the same number of at-bats, it’s possible Herrera could play tomorrow and return to the Mets by Friday.

Herrera has been on the disabled list since May 15 with a broken finger.
