  • 2nd round (53rd overall): 18-year-old INF/OF Desmond Lindsay from Bradenton, Florida, committed to University of North Carolina (Profile), ranked 102nd in Baseball America’s top-200 list.
  • 3rd round (88th overall): 18-year-old LHP Max Wotell from Marvin Ridge, North Carolina, committed to University of Arizona (Profile), ranked 144th in Baseball America’s top-200 list. Wotell was named North Carolina Gatorate Player of the Year with 120 strikeouts in 65 1/3 innings for Marvin Ridge. Low-to-mid-90s fastball.
  • 4th round (119th overall): 3B David Thompson, a junior from the University of Miami (Profile), ranked 103rd in Baseball America’s top-200 list. Thompson is a power bat who leads the nation in home runs and RBI. He is originally from South Florida who is likely to shift from third base due to a weak arm.
  • 5th round (149th overall): 18-year-old LHP Thomas Szapucki from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida (Profile). He committed to the University of Florida. Deceptive delivery with a low-to-mid-90s fastball, plus slider and curve ball (Video).
  • 6th round (179th overall): RHP Chase Ingram from Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, Florida (Profile). Average fastball with a good breaking ball. Potential reliever in the higher level of the pro ranks (Video).
  • 7th round (209th overall): RHP Corey Taylor, a senior from Texas Tech University (Profile). Groundball pitcher, projects as a reliever with a mid-90s fastball. Strike thrower but doesn’t miss many bats.
  • 8th round (239th overall): C Patrick Mazeika, a 21-year-old from Stetson University (Profile).
  • 9th round (269th overall): RHP Kevin Kaczmarski, a 23-year-old from the University of Indiana at Evansville (Profile).
  • 10th round (299th overall): RHP Witt Haggard, a 23-year-old from Delta State University in Mississippi (Profile).
