Rafael Montero had stopped throwing, now close to resuming

BaronShoulder injuries often come with a high degree of uncertainty, which makes them very difficult to predict.

Rafael Montero hasn’t seemed to be an exception to that rule.

Montero had resumed throwing and progressed towards throwing off a mound in late May, but according to Mike Puma of the New York Post, he’s idle again at the team’s minor league complex in Port St. Lucie.

However, Montero will begin throwing again soon, Puma says.

There’s no way for the club to be able to put any kind of timetable on Montero. Again, shoulder issues, especially rotator cuff injuries like Montero has, are very unpredictable and it’s common for reoccurrence to take place.

Montero has been on the 15-day disabled list since April 29 with a right rotator cuff strain.
