Thankfully, it won’t be long before both Travis d’Arnaud and Dilson Herrera return to the Mets.
Both players will join Triple-A Las Vegas today to finish their rehab assignments, and are expected to be activated during the upcoming homestand against the Giants and Braves, reports Adam Rubin of ESPN New York.
Terry Collins said last week both players would need 20-25 at-bats before being considered for activation. D’Arnaud has 10 at-bats since resuming his rehab assignment, Herrera has 11.
That would put them on-track to be activated later this week. Las Vegas is off on Wednesday, so both players could be activated on Thursday.
D’Arnaud has been on the disabled list since April 20 with a broken finger. Herrera has been on the disabled list since May 15, also with a broken finger.
