Beginning Wednesday night in San Diego, the Mets will unveil their six-man rotation (which you can read about in detail here).

Dillon Gee will be activated from the disabled list, inserted into the rotation and will start tonight against the Padres for the first time since he strained his groin on May 3.

Gee is 0-2 with a 3.86 ERA in five starts in 2015.

The Mets have said the plan was to go with a four-man bench with a six-man rotation. As such, they optioned INF Daniel Muno back to Triple-A Las Vegas after Tuesday’s 7-2 loss to San Diego.

Muno had just 11 plate appearances in five games in his latest big league stint. He made two starts and went 0-for-9 with two walks and two runs scored.

Mets starters on five days rest:

Dillon Gee: 31 starts, 11-11, 3.76 ERA
Jon Niese: 59 starts, 22-20, 3.34 ERA
Matt Harvey: 12 starts, 5-4, 2.04 ERA
Jacob deGrom: 13 starts, 7-4, 2.51 ERA
Bartolo Colon: 146 starts, 65-46 4.52 ERA

Mets starters on six days rest:

  1. Jon “Ted Nugent is my Hero” Niese instead of Syndergaard? What morons decide these things?
