Another member of the St. Lucie Mets has earned league honors in the early part of the 2015 season.

Mets 1B prospect Dominic Smith is the Florida State League Player of the Week for the week of May 25-May 31.

In six games last week, Smith, 19, hit .385/.385/.692 with a home run and ten RBI with six runs scored. He had three multi-hit games and scored six runs.

Smith is currently in the middle of a 13-game hitting streak in which he’s hit .377/.400/.623 with a home run and 14 RBI during that span.

He has hit in 19 of his last 21 games, and is hitting .349/.386/.542 during that stretch.

Smith was the Mets first round selection in the 2013 first-year player draft.

Smith joins Michael Conforto (a two-time winner) and Robert Gsellman as 2015 Florida State Player of the Week winners.
