- Bartolo Colon went 4-1 in April and 4-2 in May. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, only two other pitchers in team history have won at least four games in both April and May in the same year – Jerry Koosman in 1968 (4-0 in April and 4-2 in May) and Bobby Jones in 1997 (4-2 in April and 5-0 in May).
- Colon became the first pitcher to have an RBI double at age 42 or older since Randy Johnson did it for the Diamondbacks at age 44 on July 12, 2008 against the Phillies.
- Mets pitchers now have seven RBI on the year, the most in Major League Baseball.
