The Mets have announced their initial plan to implement the six-man rotation.
Jacob deGrom will open their series against the Padres in San Diego on Monday night. Noah Syndergaard will pitch the second game of the series on Tuesday, after which Dillon Gee will be activated from the 15-day disabled list and pitch on Wednesday.
Presumably, that means Matt Harvey will pitch on Thursday against the Diamondbacks, followed by Jon Niese on Friday and Bartolo Colon next Saturday.
However, the Mets have not yet provided official information for their rotation beyond Wednesday’s game.
