Rich MacLeodOutfield prospect Michael Conforto has been promoted to Double-A Binghamton, the Mets announced on Twitter on Friday morning.

Selected just under a year ago with the 10th overall pick in the 2014 MLB First Year Player Draft, the 22-year-old Conforto has risen through the Mets farm system quickly, succeeding at each of his stops.

In 46 games in Single-A St. Lucie this season, the young outfielder hit .283/.350/.462 with 12 doubles, seven home runs, 28 RBI, 25 runs scored and an .811 OPS in 208 plate appearances. Conforto is the reining Florida State League Player of the Week, it’s the 2nd time this season he was honored with the award.

In 88 career games in the minor leagues, Conforto has hit .305/.375./.455 with 22 doubles, 10 home runs, 47 RBI, 55 runs scored and an .830 OPS.
