One of the Mets best position player prospects can pin another medal to his resume.

OF Michael Conforto has earned Florida State League Player of the Week honors this week. He went 11-for-30 in seven games with three doubles, a home run, four RBI and five runs scored. His home run came last Wednesday and broke a 3-3 tie in the ninth inning against Palm Beach.

His 12 doubles are tied for the most in the Florida State League and leads the league with 84 total bases.

This is the second time this season Conforto has earned Florida State League Player of the Week honors. He earned the honor in the first week of the season.

The St. Lucie Mets have earned three Player of the Week honors already this season. Conforto has won it twice, and RHP Robert Gsellman also earned it earlier this season.
