Travis d’Arnaud is making quick progress in his return from a broken pinky, and will soon begin playing in games as he gets closer to returning to the Mets.
Sandy Alderson said on Monday d’Arnaud will play in an extended spring training game tomorrow, then begin a rehab assignment with St. Lucie for the next two to three days.
If all goes well, d’Arnaud will head to Las Vegas by the weekend, and could return as soon as the team reaches San Diego a week from today.
Alderson said d’Arnaud could return by the time the team gets to Arizona in ten days, depending on how his rehab assignment progresses.
d’Arnaud has been on the disabled list since April 20.
