Realizing his roster is depleted by injury and underperformance, Mets General Manager Sandy Alderson is not standing pat.

Alderson told reporters on Monday at Citi Field he is looking to augment the roster either with internal options or from outside the organization.

However, Alderson noted the trade markets have not yet opened up, but that hasn’t stopped them from seeking options and alternatives to try and improve their offense.

The Mets are considering Matt Reynolds as a possible addition at some point, according to MLB.com’s Amit Badlani. However, Alderson did not indicate if or when Reynolds could be called up.

Reynolds is not on the 40-man roster.
