Both Lucas Duda (hamstring) and Juan Lagares (bruised armpit/rib) were unavailable on Sunday.
But on Monday, Terry Collins said both will be in Monday’s lineup against the Phillies.
In addition, Daniel Muno will start at third base on Monday. Collins said for now, third base is a, “day-to-day” situation for the club without David Wright.
The Mets might as well take a look at Muno at third, but he’s not best suited to start in any one position on a daily basis.
He’s a utility infielder in the end who is best suited up the middle, and is probably an upgrade over Daniel Murphy and Wilmer Flores defensively.
