The Mets are attempting to inject a little life into the roster and add some versatility, recalling INF Daniel Muno from Triple-A Las Vegas.
To make room for Muno on the roster, the Mets optioned C Johnny Monell to Triple-A Las Vegas.
Money went just 1-for-15 with a double in 16 plate appearances over 11 games in his stint with the Mets.
Muno has hit .296 with seven doubles, a triple, a home run and ten RBI in 23 games since returning to Triple-A Las Vegas.
This is a wise move, albeit not a difference making move.
They add a little pop, some speed and some versatility to the bench in Muno, and restore some balance to the roster by eliminating the third catcher from the mix.

Whoopee!? Today’s line up was despicable as soon as it hit the chalkboard… Too little-too late?
They (ownership-front office) just will not do anything heroic
to salvage this season, and their great start has been SQUANDERED.
I don’t even blame Terry- although I think he would have benched Joe DiMsggio while he was in the middle of his 56 game hitting streak – but I still would like to see a different approach to the roster as constituted. Wait til next year- AGAIN? Sincerely hope they are not with holding any more David Wright medical information;as a Met fan, I can take bad news, but do not like being played…
